Welcome to Fisherman's Lodge, one of Newcastle's closely guarded secrets. For 38 years Fisherman's Lodge has been a noted restaurant in the North-East region. Most importantly you will find us welcoming and friendly, and our priority is to ensure that you have a superb evening dinner, wedding or lunch to remember.

We pride ourselves on remaining one of the North-East's most charming fine dining restaurant venues - particularly for special occasions. We have always been primarily a seafood restaurant, but we also serve a range of Modern British dishes using locally supplied organic meat and vegetables. The local beef and lamb reared in Northumbria are amongst the finest in Europe. But apart from the fresh fish and meats, we also have access to the abundance of game which the local region is famous for. We like to cater for everybody and therefore every menu we produce has a vegetarian option, and we do have a vegetarian menu if requested. We can also accommodate most special dietary requirements provided you let us know.

We don't set out to be pretentious or elevate ourselves. We do aim to provide delicious food made from the best, freshest & finest produce we can find and we are bringing back to our cuisine the emphasis on fish & game that first led to Fisherman's Lodge becoming a popular prestige venue. Accompanying this we provide a wide range of carefully chosen fine wines & spirits, as well as a renowned cheeseboard.

You will find us deep in the leafy wooded glade that is Jesmond Dene, set beside the gushing Ouseburn stream. A secluded oasis of rare trees planted by the noble Lord Armstrong some 150 years ago, but still only five minutes' drive from the throbbing heart of urban Newcastle.
